Human Hair Care Instructions

Thank you for purchasing a Hadiiya Barbel Couture Crown. To keep your Crown in optimum condition we recommend that you follow the simple hair care instructions below.

Before washing your Crown
Use a paddle brush to gently detangle it. Avoid using standard brushes.
Always brush hair from bottom to top, to avoid shedding and matting.

Washing/Conditioning
Soak your Crown in a mixture of mild shampo and conditioner (any brand made for wigs); use warm water only.
Soak it gently in the sink as if you were washing a delicate shirt.
DO NOT rub your Crown when washing, and always let the hair and water flow in a downward direction to prevent matting.
Work shampoo/conditioner through the hair from top to bottom.
Rinse with warm water.
Gently blot hair with a towel. Do not twist or wring it out.
Comb wet hair from the bottom to top using gentle downward strokes, one section at a time.
Never begin combing at the top or middle.

Drying
Crowns can be roller-set, air dried, or placed under a hooded dryer.
To restyle your Crown, you may use a blow dryer, curling iron, flat iron, or rollers.

Styling your Crown
Always use a wide tooth or pick comb for curly styles and a wire paddle brush for straight styles. Avoid using standard brushes.
When brushing, start at the ends and gently work your way the roots.
For on the go styles for curly Crowns and/or Bush Beauties put water and leave in conditioner inta spray bottle. Mix them together and spray it on the areas that feel dry.
To completely restyle your Crown, we suggest taking it to us as a part of our Drop Off Service where we will wash and restyle your stylist. If you decide to do it yourself, please follow these guidelines:

Place your Crown on a proper stand to support it. Use standard, electric rollers or pin curls.
Remove tangles with a paddle brush or wide tooth comb.
Wind hair controllers, smoothing ends as you go.
Allow hair too cool before removing rollers or pin curls.
Lightly brush or back comb desired areas and spray with hair spray.
For straight looks, a flat iron is needed to create the original style.
For looks with a loose wave, use a medium or large iron to create the original look.
Please keep in mind that your Crown is versatile and many styles can be created.
A light hold hair spray is optimal for a longer lasting hold.
Longer Crowns can be roller set and placed under a hooded dryer for a fuller, bouncy look.
When using heat, make sure to circulate the heat evenly and continuously. Please keep in mind that your Crowns are made of human hair and require as much work as you natural hair.

Synthetic Hair Care Instruction

Synthetic hair is very easy tcare for, compared with human hair. However, it is most important that you use products specifically designed for use with synthetic hair. Do not use products designed for human hair, as even the most gentle human hair products will in time dull the fibers of the synthetic hair. Avoid all human hair products, especially hairspray; it can cause the fibers to deteriorate.

Tools
Be sure tuse combs and brushes that are designed for use on synthetic hair, or use a regular paddle brush or comb that has rubber “tips” at the end of each brush bristle or tooth of the comb. This is important tprevent the fibers from splitting, and avoiding your Crown from prematurely aging, looking frizzy and dull.

Before washing your Crown
Use a paddle brush to gently remove any teasing or tangles and turn it inside out.
Always brush the hair from the bottom to the top, to avoid shedding and matting.

Washing
A wash is generally needed once out of every 10 to 12 wears, to cleanse away any accumulated scalp oils from the cap. If you use a lot of styling products you will likely need to wash your Crown more often.
Each wash shortens the lifespan of your Crown. It is best to use as few styling products as possible to reduce the number of needed washes. So wearing a wig cap underneath your Crown will help to absorb the scalp oils.
Soak your Crown in lukewarm water using a wig shampoo fabric softener. To loosen stubborn debris it is best you let it soak for 3-5 minutes. Swish it around gently for about a minute and then let it soak for another minute. Do not rub.
Thoroughly rinse your Crown in cold water and return the Crown tits right side.

Conditioning
After rinsing, apply a synthetic hair conditioner and rinse out.

Drying
Gently blot hair with a towel. Do not twist or wring it out.
Hang, or place your Crown on a proper stand to support it and allow it to dry at room temperature.
DO NOT comb or brush the Crown while it is wet.

Styling
When completely dry, simply brush or use a pick comb to achieve the desired style.
For tight curls and ringlet styles, try the “Shake & Go” method, or gently lift and separate the curls with a pick comb or your fingers. DO NOT BRUSH.
For wavy styles with loose curls, brush lightly with a paddle brush or a pick comb, using short lifting strokes.
For long curly styles, use your fingers or a pick comb to gently lift and separate the curls. DO NOT BRUSH.
For straight styles, brush in long even and gentle strokes. Starting at the bottom and gently comb the hair using a downward motion, with a wide-tooth comb or fingers. Gradually move up until you have combed all the hair. Never begin combing at the top or middle. It will damage and tangle the hair.
We do not recommend sleeping in your synthetic hair.

● Do not expose your crown to heat styling tools such as, hair dryers, curling irons, or other instruments that are high in temperature.
